Biology is fascinating! The intricate assembly of molecules into organelles, cells, tissues then organs and individuals, species, ecosystems is truly mesmerizing. As for every science field, each new discovery reveals new mysteries and unknowns, which motivate for new research, questioning and future discoveries.
From early observations from the ancient such as Hippocrates or Pliny the Elder to the classical works of Linné and Darwin, the complexity of the biological systems has always required a comprehensive framework of study and analysis. This aspect is even more prominent nowadays, as the amount of biological data now available implies often that the biologists must work with scientists from other disciplines: chemistry, mathematics, physics, informatics, statistics, etc.
As far as I am concerned, physics and informatics have been my favorite tools as a multitask biologist. Please visit the different sections of my personal page and do not hesitate to contact me for further discussions!
